YET ANOTHER "I KNOW WHERE JIMMY HOFFA IS" story. This one involves an 85 year old mobster, Anthony Zerilli. Zerilli was in prison when Hoffa was kidnapped, but his attorney says he would know about the Hoffa case because his father was a mob boss at the time. I have a friend who lived in Detroit and he says Hoffa is part of a freeway in the suburbs. By the way, according to Zerilli, Hoffa was hit in the head with a shovel and then buried alive!
I SEE THE CLEVELAND BROWNS HAVE CANCELLED the Bon Jovi concert at Cleveland Browns stadium next month. No reason was given for the cancellation, but it's widely rumored that ticket sales were alarmingly slow. Maybe the Browns should stay out of the concert business and concentrate on football. Novel idea, huh?
IF YOU SEE SOME VERY UNUSUAL PLANES IN THE sky over Akron the next two days, your not losing your mind. Akron Fulton International airport is home to the "Air Power History Tour". A number of rare planes (many from the World War II era) will be on display today and tomorrow. Rides will be available (for a price) on a B-29. Obviously if you know someone who served in WWII, this show would probably make their day.
YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THAT IRAN ELECTED A new president, cleric Hassan Rohani. Everything I've read indicates he's a moderate. That may be so, but don't look for a change in Iran/US relations. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is still the Supreme Leader, and he's NOT.

WOW! HAVE YOU read the Akron Beacon Journals' two day story on Info-Cision, one of the largest employers in the area? If everything in this article is true, this is the reason we needed labor unions in this country! Yesterdays installment concentrated on a lawsuit by workers who were made to work without pay. The lawsuit was settled out of court, but a lot of former and current workers received money from IC. Todays article concerned misleading pitches from the telemarketers at Info-Cision. Bob Dyer, the writer of the pieces, said that the company was not interested in speaking to the ABJ for the article. Reps from the company said they had talked to the Beacon on previous occasions and that was enough. It would be nice to hear the other side of the story, but alas...no comment. I learned two things from the story...Never give money to ANYBODY over the phone and never work as a telemarketer.
THIS AND THAT...U.S. Intelligence officials reported over the weekend that the controversial NSA spying resulted in the thwarting of attacks in the USA and 20 other countries. Believe em?
IT LOOKS LIKE the USA may sell weapons to the rebels in Syria. The president says Syria crossed the line by using chemical weapons. Now we have other people (Putin) saying NO WAY...Assad would never do that. Who do you believe...Putin or Obama?
ON TOMORROWS SHOW, I'll tell you about a Smartphone app that is killing birds. Do you believe me? You should because it's TRUE!!!
ENJOY THE SUNSHINE and join me tomorrow at 9am on 640 WHLO.
