WE WERE VERY BUSY ON TODAY'S SHOW and I neglected to mention a few items I thought you might find interesting...
LOVEJOY, GEORGIA, SOUNDS LIKE A wonderful place huh? I must admit I know nothing about this town but if you're a pothead you might want to pay the local Wendy's a visit, or maybe not! Amy Seiber WAS a worker at the Lovejoy restaurant, notice I said "was". Seems the 32 year old forgot she had put a half smoked blunt inside a customers cheeseburger. The patron called 911 and reported the dope inside her burger. When police arrived Amy admitted it was hers. Why,no idea but she was charged with marijuana possession and lost her job. Meanwhile the patron ended up in the hospital with food poisoning symptoms. Wendy's offered to pay all of her hospital bills and gave her a $50 gift certificate to "come again".
ANOTHER CASE OF YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK. Darrell Houston of Cleveland just spent the last 16 years in prison for a murder and an aggravated robbery THAT HE DID NOT COMMIT. So haul out your check books, Mr. Houston was recently awarded $600,000 by the State of Ohio. While some feel this is more than enough, many say "no way", the guy should get much more! Either way, were paying for it! Merry Christmas!
YOU MAY HAVE MISSED THIS, SO I'LL repeat it here. A Georgia man (is Georgia crazier than Florida?) went to see his son play tennis at amiddle school inChamblee. The father drives an electric car and saw an outlet at the school while enjoying his sons match...so he plugged the car into the outlet. Bad move...he found out that's stealing when the police arrived and charged him with theft of 5 cents worth of juice.
I HAVE MENTIONED MORE THAN ONCE THAT I don't believe it's right for taxpayers to build sports arenas and stadiums for sports team owners (can anyone say Jimmy Haslem)? Guess who agrees with me? THE TEA PARTY!!! The Atlanta Braves baseball team was told by the city of Atlanta that they could make improvements to their play palace with their own money. Oh what a wicked world. So the Braves owners decided to shop around for a better deal, and they found one in Cobb County Georgia. However, the Tea Party said the same thing as Atlanta...build it yourself! Cobb County is VERY conservative and it will be interesting to see how this turns out. Some pols may now be facing recall elections. Party on dudes!
NEXT MONDAY WE WILL HAVE CONGRESSMAN JIM Renicci on the program at 9:05am. Hopefully he'll take calls from listeners. That's December 16, so listen in.
JOIN ME TOMORROW MORNING at 9am on 640 WHLO. Jim
Many of were bummed after OSU lost to MSU. So was head Coach, Urban Meyer. Coach Meyer drowned his sorrows in cold pizza.
