THE WEATHER IS ABOUT TO FEEL more like fall, so how about some indoor stuff to entertain you this weekend.......

SATURDAY NIGHT AT 8:00, 1964:The Tribute will perform live at the Akron Civic Theatre in downtown Akron.  Just stepping inside the Civic is an event, but getting to see and hear this Beatles tribute band is about as good as it gets.  I've seen these guys many times over the years and it doesn't get any better than this.  If you were a Beatles fan, relive your youth!  You'll swear it's really John, Paul, George and Ringo.  Tickets to ride are available at the box office.

STAN HYWET HALL HOSTS IT'S annual Ohio Mart this weekend (today, Saturday & Sunday).  It's the 46th year for this arts and crafts show.  Needleworking is featured.

THE DAZZ BAND (hey it's back to the 80's) will play at the Tangier this Sunday.  This is a great dance band formed many years ago in Cleveland.  Tickets are still available at the box office.

WHILE TIM BURTON AND WALT DISNEY would have made an odd couple, a movie from 1984 has been revamped by Burton and released by Walt Disney Studios.  "Frankenweenie" is an animated 3D flick that is getting great reviews and is family friendly.  My guess is this will be the number one movie this weekend!

FINALLY, ALL THE HAUNTED HOUSES ARE UP and running for the season including the legendary Haunted Schoolhouse in Akron.

ONE LAST NOTE... I VISITED A LOCAL orchard earlier this week and purchased some VERY TASTY apples.  Much of this years crop was destroyed by a spring frost (about 60% I was told) but the fruit that survived is GREAT.  Some of the apples are small but very flavorful.  I'm sure the local growers would appreciate your business.

HAVE A SAFE WEEKEND AND join me Monday morning at 9am on 640 WHLO.  Jim
