SO MIKE HOLMGREN, PRESIDENT OF the Cleveland Browns, said goodbye to the Cleveland media and fans yesterday at a press conference in C-town.  Are you surprised?  Shouldn't be.  This president has accomplished exactly what all the other Browns leaders have accomplished over the last 14 years....NOTHING.  And so we start all over again, new owner, new president and you can be sure a new coach at the end of this season.  Will the new crew be better than the last bunch, who knows.  But one thing is for sure, the fans are dying for something good to happen to the Cleveland Pumpkinheads..er...Browns.

MEANWHILE, IN DOWNTOWN AKRON we have a new executive in the owners box at Canal Park.  Maryland native Ken Babby recently bought the Akron Aeros and is hitting the ground running.  He's made many friends in the city already, and really seems to be a guy who wants to make Aeros games fun again.  From all reports, Babby and city officials are working together to make updates and improvements to the ballpark.  I always enjoy an Aeros ballgame and get to the park often every summer.  However, it's just not as fun as it used to be (mostly because the crowds have fallen off).  Good luck to the newest Akronite...Ken Babby...welcome!

ENJOY ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL INDIAN SUMMER day and join me at 9am tomorrow morning on 640 WHLO.  Jim
