MANY RIVALRY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL games this weekend, and other huge games that could decide who goes and who doesn't go to the state playoffs.  For week 10, here are my picks....

NORTH at ELLET...Big game for the Orangemen.  If they win it could mean a trip to the state playoffs.  They haven't been there since 1991.  Ellet should roll tonight at home against the Vikings.

COPLEY at REVERE...The Indians also have an outside shot at the playoffs, but probably won't make it because the Minuteman are having a down year.  Copley WILL win and will then cross their fingers.

HUDSON at NORTH ROYALTON...The Explorers must win to assure themselves a playoff spot, but NR is a perfect 9-0 this season.  North Royalton will win, but it'll be close.

GREEN at TALLMADGE...The Blue Devils have a post season slot all wrapped up, and the Bulldogs will give them a real battle.  I'm picking Tallmadge in a nail-biter.

RAVENNA at KENT ROOSEVELT...This annual battle could be the best game of the weekend.  Both teams will probably make the playoffs, so...I flipped a coin and it came up Roosevelt.

YOUNGSTOWN URSULINE at ST. VINCENT-ST. MARY...The Irish are hanging on to a playoff spot by the skin of their teeth.  They must win tomorrow, and I think they will at Green Street.

MOGADORE at EAST CANTON...The Wildcats are one win away from a perfect regular season, and they'll get it on the road.  Then it's off to the state playoffs.

FIRESTONE vs GARFIELD...I had to throw this one in even though neither will make the playoffs.  Why this one?  It's my upset of the week. The Golden Rams defense will prevail over the Falcons, and my old school will end the season at .500.

HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY (and enjoy the weather), because Indian Summer will end by Saturday.  Jim
