WELCOME BACK TO THE REAL WORLD! If you had the good fortune to be off work for all 4 days of the Thanksgiving holiday, wasn't the sound of that alarm just beautiful this morning. That clock is lucky it didn't bounce off the wall about 6:30 (can a clock be lucky?) Oh well, I think you know what I'm saying.
WHAT A SEASON FOR THE KENT STATE football team in 2012! The Flashes have an outside chance of being in a major bowl game this year (of course a lot would have to go their way for it to happen), but for a KSU fan this has to rank right up there with the Sweet 16 about ten years ago in basketball. The next game for KSU is this Friday in Detroit against Northern Illinois. A win gives them the Mid American Conference championship and on to a bowl game. Even if they lose, a bowl game IS in their future. 640 WHLO will broadcast the championship game this Friday...air time is 5 o'clock. Go Flashes!
WHY DOES IT SEEM SO MANY BAD things happen around the holidays. Not to be a bummer, but my Dad ended up in the hospital this past weekend. He has spent 2 of the last 4 Thanksgiving weekends in the care of doctors and nurses. He was with me Thanksgiving Day so it wasn't the food. Actually he probably forgot to take his meds and when you're 88, that's probably not the smartest thing to do. Hopefully he'll be out by tomorrow.
BACK TO FOOTBALL FOR JUST A moment, get your Super Bowl tickets!!! The Browns beat the Steelers yesterday...be still my heart.
ENJOY THE SUNSHINE TODAY AND JOIN me for another talk session tomorrow from 9 to noon on 640 WHLO. Jim
