ANOTHER SIGN THAT THE SHOOTINGS IN Connecticut have touched a nerve with many people, Dick's Sporting Goods has announced that they are suspending sales of "modern rifles" (at least for a while). They also announced the removal of all guns from public display at it's store near Newtown, CT. Walmart announced earlier that they were also altering some sales because of last Friday's shootings.
IS ANYONE PAYING ATTENTION TO THE "FISCAL CLIFF" debate? I've received a grand total of ZERO calls about the issue this week. Obviously the CT story IS big, but I think most people are so burned out with the gang in Washington they feel helpless and know the congressmen will do whatever is best for their donors and themselves. The taxpayers will always be the losers in this type of situation. Or am I way to negative? I THINK NOT!!!!
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, THE FORMER freshman basketball coach at Jackson High School was sentenced to 15 years in the slammer today for taking candid videos of players showering in the schools shower room. Scott Studer pleaded guilty today in court in downtown Canton.
WHILE SCANNING TODAY'S BEACON JOURNAL, I came across a story concerning the feeding of animals at night in the city of Barberton. Don't do it!!!! You'll find the story at www.ohio.com. By the way, 20 pet lovers showed up at the city council meeting Monday to pass the new law. Why do I get the feeling this won't be the last we hear of this story?
