NOW THAT THE ELECTION HAS BEEN decided we don't speak much of polls, but one crossed my desk today that I found interesting. According to a Washington Post/ABC survey, there is very little support for John Boehner regarding the "fiscal cliff" issue. What I found most telling was his standing among Republicans. Only 38 percent of GOP members approve of Boehners' job concerning this issue, while 27 percent of Democrats also approve. Overall Americans approve of President Obama on the "FC" by a 52 to 37 margin, while they disapprove of Speaker Boehner by a 51 to 31 count.
ANOTHER STORY I FOUND ON THE newsroom floor concerned a man who was caught trying to strangle a dog. I guess I should also mention that he wasn't wearing any clothes at the time. Oh, did I also mention this happened in an occupied home that didn't belong to the man? Another thing I should probably mention...the people who DID own the home also owned a gun and used it on the intruder. The owner winged the nut in the leg and waited for police to arrive. Seems the fellow was high on something and is facing numerous charges. What comes as no surprise, this craziness happened in Florida (where else?)
YESTERDAY WE SPENT WAY TOO MUCH time on the "birther" issue, but I would like to point out that leaders of the movement have indicated recently that they will attempt to impeach Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts IF he swears in President Obama to a second term on January 20th. If I have to tell you why, your just not paying attention.
