WITH THE WEEKEND RIGHT AROUND THE corner, I've got a few suggestions for making the weekend memorable...

ONE OF MY FAVORITE COMICS WILL be lon stage at the Palace Theatre in downtown Canton Friday night at 7pm.  Ron White is on Comedy Central often although you may know him as a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.  Tickets are available at www.cantonpalacetheatre.org.

IF YOU'VE NEVER BEEN TO THE COZY Musica nightclub in downtown Akron, you have a good reason to go this Saturday evening.  One of the famous "new wave" Akron bands from the 70's returns for an 8pm show.  The Bizarros are back.  Admission is next to nothing ($8) and you'll probably see someone you havn't run into since high school or college.  ROCK N ROLL!!!!!!

IF YOU FIND YOURSELF IN DOWNTOWN Akron today thru Saturday, stop in at Childrens Hospital for the "Have a heart, do your part" radiothon.  My friends Keith Kennedy and Shannon Steele from WKDD will broadcast from the hospital and would like to collect some cash for a GREAT cause...Childrens!  A historical note...this radiothon has been going on for decades and actually started in the early 70's on my favorite station, 640 WHLO.

TWO NEW MOVIES OPEN IN THE AREA this weekend..."Identity Theft" starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy and "Side Effects" featuring an all-star cast.  The first is about...duh... a guy looking for the woman who stole his identity, and the second is a thriller.  Both movies are getting good reviews.

FINALLY, TONIGHT IS WKDD NIGHT OUT at the Funny Stop Comedy Club in Cuyahoga Falls.  Admission is free!

JOIN ME FRIDAY MORNING FROM 9 - noon on 640 WHLO.  It's fun, it really is!   Jim
