JUNK I DIDN'T GET TO THIS WEEK....

THE REPUBLICANS HAVE CHOSEN Marco Rubio to give the GOP response to President Obama's State of the Union speech next Tuesday.  Wonder why?

NORMALLY I'M NOT A BIG FAN OF award shows, but I think I'll catch the Grammy Awards Sunday night.  Akrons own Black Keys are up for numerous awards.  Good luck to the boys!

WHATS UP WITH DUKE UNIVERSITY?  They made the news twice this week.  First for having a frat party called "a racist rager" that lampooned Asian students.  Then a crowd at the Duke vs NC State basketball game heckled a NCS player with a "hows your grandma" chant.  The players' grandma had just died.  Oh those kids.

A RECENT STUDY FOUND THAT second generation Latinos in the USA are substantially better of than their parents.  Don't know why, but I thought you should know.

THE LABOR DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCED this week that the "Baby boom" generation was hit the hardest by the recent economic disaster.  Why?  Their savings and the value of their homes fell sharply during the great recession.  Oh well.
