SAW THESE POLL RESULTS AND found them interesting.  A majority of Americans believe George W Bush did as good, or even a better job of protecting our civil liberties than Barack Obama.  44% of us believe Obama has done a better job than Bush, but 37% say he has been worse at balancing national security with civil liberties while 15% say they are about the same.  If you look a little deeper into the numbers, party affiliation doesn't play a huge roll in these results.  An unusually large number of Democrats say Obama is no better than Bush.  Why?  Drones!  Many libs are not sure that's the way to go.

ANOTHER POLL ALSO TELLS AN unusual story.  Republicans are generally given higher marks for managing the economy than Democrats.  Not in the latest Quinnipiac poll!  47% said they trusted Obama more than the Republicans on economic issues.  41% said that the GOP would be better at watching the USA's purse strings.  So there!

GUESS WHO DOESN'T LIKE TALKING to newspaper reporters?  Barack Obama!  While many accuse the media of being unfair to Republicans, apparently the Democrats don't trust scribes either.  The reason is very obvious...the White House likes to control everything about any message to the public.  The first to discover that it was possible to avoid print media was the Reagan administration.  The presidents handlers would much rather have the prez do fluff pieces with People Magazine or appear on friendly TV shows (Fox, The View, etc.).

LOCAL COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAMS are back in action tonight.  The Kent State Golden Flashes host the Miami Red Hawks while the University of Akron Zips play at Eastern Michigan.  You can hear the Flashes on 640 WHLO while the Zips play on Foxsports 1350.  Tipoff for both games is 7pm.
