THE HEADLINER TODAY THRU SATURDAY AT the Funny Stop Comedy Club in Cuyahoga Falls is Sam Tripoli. He's appeared on Comedy Central and Showtime, and now for the first time at the Funny Stop. One show this evening, which is also WKDD Night Out, featuring 98.1's very own Keith Kennedy, and 2 shows each Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets available at the door.
FRIDAY NIGHT AT E.J. THOMAS HALL you have a chance to see a living legend. Bob Dylan returns to Akron for one show only. The Akron stop on his "Neverending Tour" is at 7:30pm and you can get tickets in advance at the E.J. box office.
AS A LOVER OF VINYL RECORDS AND a backer of small local businesses, this Saturday is Record Store Day. Most locally owned stores are celebrating with live in-store performers and special deals on vinyl and CD's. There is something very special about a record store and maybe I'll see you at Square Records in Highland Square. Other local stores are in Kent and Cuyahoga Falls.
SATURDAY NIGHT AT 8 O'CLOCK the Akron Symphony Orchestra presents "Shower The People: The Music of James Taylor". Curtain goes up at 8pm at the historic Civic Theatre and tickets are available at www.akronsymphony.org.
WHILE THE CLEVELAND INDIANS ARE about to hit the road, the Akron Aeros return to Canal Park this weekend for a series with the Bowie Baysox.
